Dinner at the Maenam River

The muddy Chaopraya (Maenam) River

Though my name is registred as a resident of Nonthaburi.
But in reality, Nonthaburi is the place where I normally spend my bed time story as I have been living most of my day time in the Bangkok city.

For many (and many) years, I haven't got a chance to experience the ordinary life as 'Non people. Too long enough to be realised that we based our lives to the Maenam River.
Most of the temples and fresh markets here (including the former city hall) are located to the both sides of banks.

The name of the river itself sounds funny to me. And I have to admitted that it is one of the inspiration to my interest of Thai history. As by referring to the old map of Siam/Thailand, the Chaopraya used to be called/written as Maenam in English!
In Thai, Maenam means river!

Waiting for the food
Yummy fish-cake!
