An expressway to receives high school qualification

A สอบเทียบ (a non formal education system/programme) is known for most of the Thais who were born before the mid 80's.

The system is opened to those who has earned an elementary school diploma. And the concept is very simple as if you have passed all the exams through this system, you will be receiving a high school diploma within 6-month or more!

What's a perfect idea for saving more times:-

1. In stead of spending another 6 years in high schools, one may be qualified by taking a 6-month exam.
2. As the university entrance system at the time was called "a nightmare system", this qualification to bring a greater opportunity on experiencing the environment of the entrance.

So, in the past....it is not a surprised to see the news stating that an 13 years old boy got accepted into the medical school of Chulalongkorn University....as everyone holds the qualification and have tried the environment before the real time!

Well, I am not trying to support this idea as this system has already been banned from the formal system....that means all the students, who now registered in a full-time programme will not be accepted to take this exam.

I am now writing on this article as I have just received an opportunity to talked with a long-lost friend, whom I met from the non-formal exam....after the last examination in 1996, he now became a doctor.
