Final Interview for Doctorate Study

After thinking and reconsidering for more than a year on whether or not should I apply for a doctorate study, I finally made it through the final interview stage to this international DBA programme.

I have realised that I was the only one who dressed up in an informal attire, the ones I always put on during my normal working days. Whereas the rest of the candidates were wearing a 100% business attires!

During the interview, I was not quite sure if my overall performance could bring me a very good or outstanding impression to the programme committees. As they just looked into my application/resume and asked me why, why and why.... for example:-
  1. Why it has to be the DBA as you don't have such a business-academic background?
I did have a business academic background through my participation in a post graduate school of management. However, my specialisation was in tourism.
  2. Where is your statement of purpose?
Please take a look on your website, a statement of purpose is not being listed on the requirements. If so, I will provide it to you shortly.
  3. Where is your TOEFL score?
It is listed on your official website that the TOEFL is extempted if a candidate has earned an academic background from an institution, where English is used as a medium of instruction.

From the interview, I was more than 100% sure that my personality and ability of English usage are listed among the top candidate. However, I was not sure if my style of answer is somehow too aggressive to the Thai culture.....so lets wait and see the result.
