The Business Life Cycle Matrix: When a star turned out to be a dog!

It is exactly as same as what I am now facing on, the business life cycle matrix.

This marketing theory is being included in the undergrad marketing class, in which I was not really get it at the time.

What a simple concept to the real life that:-
  1. The question mark:- When you are entering into the business as an entry level, no one is going to care much about you as they have no idea how good and bad you are.
  2. The star:- Once the world has realised that you are really good; acknowledgement, money and appropriate staff investment/development programmes will come.
  3. The cash cow:- As the time goes by, new comers are getting into the market. You are still be considered as a valuable asset to the firm. You can still enjoy the benefits provided-just because they want to keep you in the role.
  4. The dog:- You have entered into a "useless" stage. Who cares!

The last working week at McCann makes me completely lost!

There is no works and meetings. Only things I do are mostly running around the newly moved office, chatting through the MSN and supervising the team.

This is not a good feeling to be here without things to do and think as I can considered myself as an energetic guy (I am sure for those who has been working and playing with me, you will know how crazy I am).
