Farewell to American Express

American Express Customer Service
c/o THAI American Express Platinum Card

September 13, 2007

To whom it may concern,

I am writing this regards an inappropriate service I had face through a telephone conversation with THAI American Express Platinum call centre on Wednesday September 12, 2007.

I am user to THAI American Express Platinum card number xxxx xxxxxx xxxxx.

On the mentioned date, I made a call to your local call centre in Thailand, 02.273.5005 at 17.00 hours, asking for advise and assistance regards my credit limit.

The call centre assistant was nice and trying to help by transferring the line to another lady, who is in charging with the credit limit matters.
However, the experiences through this lady was real bad and disappointing as she has no willingness to help.

As a client to American Express, I am confident that I have a positive background:- being active with no late payment.
Moreover, my last payment to July/August account was just made through SCB ATM on Tuesday September 11, 2007, hence, I don’t think that with a few amount of thousands Baht transaction to make my credit being exceed the given limit.

What she said was something like:-
"As this is not an urgent matter, you can make a payment through American Express within your remaining credit limit and then for the rest, you have to find out and made a payment in the other way."

I then ended up the matter by using another card, Citibank THAI ROP.

I am not complaining on the credit limit as this might be a standard set to a global organisation like American Express, but on the flexibility, service minds as well as the way your staff treats your value customers.

Sincerely Yours,
